Heavenly Pursuit (Isaiah 58:8-9)

Heavenly Pursuit (Isaiah 58:8-9)

O’ Lord, we thank You for being with us always (Hebrews 13:5). And, we thank You for being on the wake-up list this morning. Lord, we thank You for Your mercy and grace, which is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). Father God, we pursue You; You are, all we need. Heavenly father, we come to Your altar to lay down everything that would hinder our growth in You (Hebrews 4:16).

Yes, in You, everything is right. In You is where we belong, and we are forever grateful. We just can’t make it without You. O’ Mighty King, guide our footsteps and grant us Your peace. It is Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Most Holy One, we ask You to blow a fresh wind over our souls (John 3:8). It is truly Your grace that we need in these last and evil days.

Father, our desire is to be pleasing in Your sight (Proverbs 16:7). We set our sights on You to praise and worship You. To never forget every prayer, You, have answered and every blessing You have granted. Unfortunately, it is true that we live in a Martha kind of world, where there is much to do and little time to do it. Yet, we are in pursuit of Mary’s kind of heart; she chose the best part, which is You, most Holy One (Luke 10:42).

Without you Father, our lives have no purpose. So, instead of blaming You for what we don’t have, we praise You for what You have given. Simply, declaring Your works in our lives. Asking You Lord, whatever You are doing in this season, please don’t do it without us. It is Your affirmation that we seek.

Enduring all thing with faith and hope. Offering praise rather than protests (Proverbs 31:26). We strip our lives of worldly contaminates and put on a garment of praise (Isaiah 61:3). Instead of dwelling in despair, we desire to live primarily for Your glory. To reach a place where You, Father, is more than enough.

Thanking you, Lord Jesus, all the more for being our bridge over trouble waters (Ephesians 2:5-10). It allows us to count it all joy when faced with diver temptations (James 1:2). Fully, knowing that the enemy only fights us because he knows he has already lost. We declare our safety in your arms. Your Word is our reminder to stand fast on Your promises.

So, O’ Matchless King, we come against everything that will stagnate our pursuit of You. We are learning how to mark you, Jesus—you are our perfectness (Psalm 37:37). This is our prayer with thanksgiving.

In Jesus Mighty and Gracious Name, Amen and Amen.
