Jesus the Way-Maker

Jesus the Way-Maker

O’ Lord teach us how to complete the assignments you have placed before us, without doubt, strife, confusion or envy (Acts 20:35). Awaken our spiritual awareness, that we may serve you with our whole heart, not withholding anything (Deut. 6:5). Open the hidden vaults in our hearts, so we can see, with clear vision (Acts 9:18).

We thank you Lord Jesus for being our shield and buckle; what the enemy means for harm, you continue to turn it and work it to our good (Gen. 50:20). Your blood makes intercession on our behalf and we shall be forever grateful (Rom. 8:34). We are striving to be sold out for you, Jesus. Because where you are there is no darkness (1 John 1:5).

Though faith makes this journey possible (Lk. 1:37), it is you who keeps us in perfect peace (Is. 26:3). The enemy is setting traps at every turn but our minds are not on the Trap Setter, but on the author and finisher, our Way Maker (Ps. 23:1-3). You are the master surgeon and we come to you as humbly as we know how, to be placed on your potter’s wheel, to be made over (2 Tim. 2:21). We desire to take off the corruptible to put on the incorruptible: you are our crown (1 Cor. 15:53).

Father, we step in the gap for others, asking you to draw them to you, before it is everlastingly too late (James 4:8). We praise you in every circumstance because you are more than the world is against us (Rom. 8:31). We ask you to continue to bless the men and women in the field, because you said ‘it is the sheep’s job to go out and gather other sheep. Fore, we were never meant to go at it alone (Is. 40:10-11).

Thanking you in all things, whether abased or abounded; because we can do All things through you (Phil. 4:12). Father, continue to keep before us, always; Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people.

In your mighty and omnipotent name Jesus, Amen.
