Hi Dorlita,
I know this may seem weird getting a letter from yourself but if I know you, you may not think it’s so weird but divine. There are some things I’d like to tell you. You’ve made it to see forty years old and life has been a roller coaster for you but you have become a strong and amazing woman. All those times you spent in going to church with your grandma Dorothy reserved a place in your heart so that when God called you, you were ready. Where the bible says to train up a child in the way that they should go and when they are old they will not depart from it, it was absolutely right. Proverbs 22:6
I know that you think about your future quite often and what your life will be like. There is something that is always tugging at you and you ask what are you created for and what your purpose in life is. Some time will pass before you figure it all out but let me tell you. Do not quit and do not give up. Life will get harder for you before it gets better. You will go through some heavy tests and trials but just know that what they are doing is making you stronger. They also will not last forever.
Dorlita you are a beautiful person inside and out, fearfully and wonderfully made. And right now you are only a small version of what you will become. You will be a mighty force in the Kingdom of God and every force of the enemy (the devil) will try to come against who God says you are. Don’t listen to them, hold your head up and remember the words that your grandfather speaks to you from the wisdom of his heart. BE YOURSELF.
Life is going to come and it is going to knock you down and hold you to the ground. But you have a saviour whom you will continue to hear of. He is real, hold that close to your heart please. When it feels like you are alone, know that He is there even when you cannot see Him. You will make some bad decisions in life but don’t beat yourself up about them. Because of them you will become who God wants you to be.
You have three of the world’s most beautiful children. Raise them up in holiness and never stop praying for them. In dark times they bring joy to your life. The littlest one has so much of your spunk and attitude that sometimes you can’t stand it. But God made her that way because iron sharpens iron. Cultivate her into the same mighty prayer warrior that God will cause you to be. You’ve also done well with the oldest two. Continue to love them unconditionally and live as much as possible a lifestyle of holiness before them.
God is going to send some amazing people through your life when your storms are past. You’ll still have them but you will be more equipped to handle them. And your relationship with your Heavenly Father will grow deeper and stronger. Things you never thought were possible for you God is going to do. Jesus loves you. I love you.
I can’t wait until you get to where I am now. See you in 30 years.
Dorlita B.

Woman of God on a mission to spread love most of all, kindness and the truth about the Savior. I thank Him daily for saving and keeping me, bringing me into the knowledge of Him and steadily making intercession for me on behalf of the Father. Every lesson that I give goes to me first. I speak not as though I am different but that I am the same as any other follower of Christ, seeking wisdom and understanding from God and depending on Him fully to provide everything that I need in this life.
