Confidence

Confidence

The aim of our efforts and the pinnacle of our earthly journey is success. Our life goals and accomplishments hinge upon this concept, regardless of which derivative of the word (i.e. successful, succeeding, succeeded) used. Even though the appearance of success changes based upon the perspective of the person seeking it, confidence accompanies the process and is, in fact, necessary.

Businesses, marriages, relationships, fellowships, and even dreams have propelled to greater heights because the most critical people had confidence at the most critical of times! This week is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. His birth not only means that God wants us to believe in the son He sent as a sacrifice for us, God also wants us to find confidence in the things He promised us! Let us take a look together:

Luke 1:41-42 (KJV) And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: 42And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed [is] the fruit of thy womb.

Mary, the mother of Jesus, was informed that she would become pregnant. Although she accepted the honor, Mary was not fully convinced. So, the angel told Mary that her cousin, Elisabeth, who could not have children of her own, was pregnant too! Mary rushed to Elisabeth’s house, where she was instilled with the confidence to believe what God had revealed to her!

  1. Embrace Unbelievable Circumstances
When God has plans for you, He often uses unbelievable situations to draw out the unbelievable greatness inside of you!

Mary was told something very hard to believe, only to learn something unbelievable about her cousin as well! And so, to strengthen her own confidence, Mary went to see her cousin.

Those who are destined to do unimaginable things HAVE TO endure unimaginable resistance to overcome. This is why it is vital to the success of your destiny that you respond to critical moments by embracing those who have or are currently enduring unbelievable situations.

Mary did not run away from Elisabeth, she ran to her! And so, I say to you, do not run AWAY FROM the unbelievable, or the people who have endured the unbelievable…embrace them! Run to them! Seek them out for the boost you need to beat what you are facing! God has a plan to USE the unbelievable to be a blessing to you and to many!

  1. Inspire Supporters
Find someone who is inspired by your dream, vision, and/or goal to ensure the sustainability of your confidence!

Mary spoke when she entered her cousin’s house. The moment the sound waves of Mary’s voice met her cousin’s ear drum, the child leapt in Elisabeth’s womb! And Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost.

It is imperative that you have people who are moved on the inside and filled with inspiration at the sound of your voice because of what you carry! Being inspired by someone else will build effort and hearing the inspiration others find in you will produce and sustain your confidence.

Mary did not explain what she had heard from the angel nor what she was enduring. She only said, “Hello.” And Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost because of that one salutation! Link up, partner, and/or network with people who find inspiration in you! You ARE gifted and anointed by God — now find someone who will believe what is in you, even when you struggle to do so!

  1. Vocal Appreciation
It is not enough to just KNOW it; sometimes your confidence needs to HEAR it!

Elisabeth spoke with a LOUD voice, declaring Mary and the child she was to carry as blessed! It is rather funny the way Elisabeth could see how blessed her cousin was when Mary was not fully confident in herself! So, not only did Elisabeth see how blessed Mary was, she spoke it!

Proverbs 18:21 (KJV)
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

There is power in the audible projection of your words. And confidence can be halted or broken by these words. Goliath staved off an entire army because his words destroyed their confidence. The words of Elisabeth enabled Mary too surrender her mind, spirit, AND body as needed for the task of carrying not just any child, but the Son of God!

Be encouraged this week! Be confident! Remember that your success is dependent upon the confidence you carry!
