Song of the Heart: My Everything

Through a flood of emotions and trials what my enemy doesn’t realize is that in this time I don’t have a heart to turn away from God. All my troubles and desires make it all the more necessary to draw closer to my lifeline. When words fail me and my prayers have turned to pure tears my heart cries out that, I am His and he is all that I know and all that I have. He is all that I need when it feels like my world is closing in on me.

The song says:

I am empty will You fill me up
I know I’ll make it if You fill my cup
Yes it’s essential that I be with You
Cuz You are, You are, You are, my everything
Oh oh, oh oh oh Lord, oh oh
Oh oh oh…
I am longing to hold Your hand
You’ll pull me closer Christ on You I’ll stand
I know you’ll never leave my side
Cuz You are, You are, You are your my everything yes
Oh oh oh…
Yes, nobody can take Your place, I’m yours woah oh oh oh
I’ll cling to Your warm embrace, I’m yours, woah oh oh oh yeah
Your love can not be replaced, I’m yours woah oh oh oh, yeah
I’ll cling to Your warm embrace I’m yours woah oh oh oh ooo
Oh oh oh…
Oh oh oh, yes oh your woththy yes, your worthy yeah
Oh oh oh…
You’ll pull me closer, Christ on You I’ll stand

My Everything

My everything

This song has been ringing in my spirit all day. I’ve had to listen to it several times today and each time there is an excitement that rises from the depths of me. Why? Because I resolve to glorify God no matter what my life looks like. No matter what God allows me to experience, I WILL WORSHIP HIM!!!

I have been up and I have been down. I have experienced blessings and lack. But through it all I am still here to say with God I persevered. I am still persevering and pressing on in the things of God.

Once my brother in Christ told me that I was resilient.

I was going through a storm and it seemed like storm after storm was rolling through without a break in-between. And with each one I was hit hard and I cried for a short time, prayed and cried before God some more. But because of the hope I have in Jesus Christ, each time I was able to get up off the floor and face the trials with a smile on my face. Very few knew what I was facing, mainly just my brother in Christ who was and is a GREAT encouragement to me and my pastor.

Even now I take my issues and burdens to God in prayer, with tears in my eyes and a praise on my lips. Because I know that He is my true Comforter, Problem solver, Protector, Provider, my Everything.

Have you made Him your Everything? If you have not, try it, try Him…

Jesus Rather Than Silver and Gold

9708157Just about every morning when I am waking up, meaning I am still in a state of being sleep but I am slightly aware the I and waking up, I can hear a song down in my spirit. I believe that is the Holy Ghost and my inner man in tune with each other and they are meeting me in the beginning of a new day. I trust that the song that I sing is a clue as to where my heart and mind is the moment I enter the state of consciousness. This mornings song was a tune I remember singing as a little girl in the choir at church called “Silver and Gold”. It is a simple tune to me and I was oh so happy to hear it and that my soul and heart was in the right place.
Job 22:25 (Amplified Bible)
And make the Almighty your gold and [the Lord] your precious silver treasure,

The song simply says that I ‘d rather have Jesus than silver and gold., no fame or fortune, no riches untold, I’d rather have Jesus than silver and gold.
Exodus 20:23 Amplified Bible
You shall not make [gods to share] with Me [My glory and your worship]; gods of silver or gods of gold you shall not make for yourselves.

In the bible silver and gold was the currency in which the people used to purchase things. Today we use coins and paper , but the meaning to me is still the same. In my heart I choose not to worship money but to worship the Son of God. In Him every need is met. When I say need I do not mean just our material needs but our every need. Money does not make people happy but God is the source of all happiness and joy.
So in Christ Jesus I have all that I need and He is all that I can give to you.
Acts 3:6
Amplified Bible
But Peter said, Silver and gold (money) I do not have; but what I do have, that I give to you: in [the use of] the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk!
