Start Over

Start Over

“It is never too late to start over. A painting is only finished when the painter puts the brush down.”

~ Nicholas A Browne

As long as we have breathe in our body and wake up every day we have a chance to start over. Reading this quote reminds me that God is the painter, artist, creator and designer of my life and I am His masterpiece. My life and work on this earth is only done when He puts down the brush.

My prayer is that when He does put the brush down, what is left behind is pleasing to Him and that I will have done all that He created me to be and to do. And when people look at what is left they see His hand all over what was once me. As a graphic designer I know that sometimes the tools and supplies that I work with can be stubborn and difficult to work with so they are not always cooperative. There are times in my live that I know I have been that and more as Jesus is trying to guide the brush of my life over this canvas called the land of the living. But I am ever so grateful that as the greatest creator of all things God know best how to deal with me. As He has, my life has changed and my heart has turned from hardened stone to a soft pliable texture that He can mend and mold into what he wants it to be. And I surrender so that I am able to tune in to that still small voice that speaks to me and follow Him. I am His sheep and I know His voice. I will continue to abide in Him so that He will abide in me. This is how I stay connected, surrendered, and pliable to to His will and His way.

John 10:27 Amplified Bible (AMP) 27 The sheep that are My own hear My voice and listen to Me; I know them, and they follow Me.

John 15:4 (KJV) Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
