He is Ubiquitous

He is Ubiquitous

Psalm 139:5 You have enclosed me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me.

Have you ever thought of a word that you’ve never heard before and wonder if it’s a real word? I find ever so often I could be doing something and all of a sudden I hear this word and I can’t seem to get it out of my head. I wonder what it means. It happened again this morning.

I was in the shower and I was just thanking God for who he is. I try to give him thanks throughout my day and in the midst of whatever I’m doing. And being the first thing in the morning I just wanted to say thank you. But I heard the word Ubiquitous and I’m like what? And then I kept repeating it in my mind over and over again. After I got out I went on about my morning getting ready for work. I finished, got the girls and off we went.

I’ve had a busy day so far and hadn’t thought about the word again. But here I am back in my office after going to a meeting and training a new employee and I hear this word again. Since I’m now in from of my computer I decide to stop what I’m doing and look it up.

Ubiquitous means existing or being everywhere, especially at the same time; omnipresent.

Okay stop the press! Lord I hear you. All I want now is to seek him and know what it is I need to do. I love the ways God will grab your attention. It’s not conventional and often times, unless its a corporate call, it’s tailored specifically to you. It’s like how we know to get our children’s attention. We know them by their personalities and differences from one another and we address them, call them, tend to them according to their uniqueness.

So I got it. God was letting me know for whatever reason that He has not left me, nor can I run, hide or leave him. He is everywhere, all the time. That’s my word for the day.

Here are some scriptures about God’s Omnipresence.
