A Psalm of David

A Psalm of David

Psalms 23

THE Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the path of righteousness for his name’s sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me: thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

LESSON:

We are the sheep and He is our shepherd. He is leading us that follow Him and he will lead us when we are lost. He will never let us go without the things that we need to survive on this Earth. He will make sure that we walk up right in truth and that we should not lie. We do not have to fear man or demon because the Lord will always stand with us in battle against those that come to do us harm. He will prepare us and equip us with the weapons that we need to fight our enemies and show mercy towards us in our weaken times.

PRAYER:

Thank you oh Lord for your provision and protection. Thank you that I do not have to be independent and self-sufficient but I can depend on You and your grace is sufficient for me. I am humbled that you have prepared a table just for me and will vindicate me before my enemies. Thank you for your goodness and your mercy that will follow me all the days of my life. Help me as I continue to dwell with you in your house forever. In Jesus name. Amen.
