Wonderful Wednesday

On today may God shed his wonderful light of love on you and your hearts be filled with gladness and joy. His word says, I have hid thy word in my heart that I might not sin against thee. Today let the word of God saturate our hearts and minds so that the will of Him that created us may be done. This journey is one day at a time so focus on the moments that you find yourself in now. Let go of the past and  worry not about the future. For Jesus will take care of them both.

Too often we give those things that burden us to God only to pick them back up when we feel like He hasn’t answered our prayers about it. We toss and turn and are then consumed by our issues when His word says to come to him and give him our burden so that we may rest. There are some things in my life currently that I have wrestled God with and I admit that I give it to him an have taken it back. In doing so I struggled with it. When we do this it also gives the enemy an opportunity to torment us with it an unforgiveness can take the place of love in our hearts.

So today as we read an meditate on these two words lord fill us with more of you. Touch us where we have hardened our hearts that they become soft, filled with compassion and forgiveness. And at the end of the day may you be pleased with all that we have done. In Jesus name, Amen.

Psalm 119:11 (KJV)

11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Matthew 11:28-30King James Version (KJV)

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

I Resolve

I resolve memeAs I watched the animation show I, the main character is in a battle with an enemy he has overcome before. But he now finds that he is on the enemy’s territory and the enemy has gained strength five times more than before. As Ichigo has fought hard and is wounded and bruised the enemy taunting him insists that he will defeat him. Determined to save his friend that has been thrown into prison and is facing certain execution, he searches within himself and begins to recall the crucial and rigorous training he went through in preparation for his journey to the place he now find himself in.

As he remembers the lessons from training he says these two words, “I resolve”. In doing so he gains focus and power. Ichigo defeats his foe a captain in the army of his enemy, who also tells him that even though he defeats him, there are others that Ichigo will be faced with that are even more powerful than his current opponent was.

This reminds me of what we as Christians face today when we make a decision to serve Christ. We have a journey, destiny, destination, calling, and purpose that we must press our way to. On the journey there is an army that stands with the enemy and we will have to fight in battle. Each battle the opponent will be bigger, stronger, more powerful and highly ranked. But in order for us to come out victorious we have to set our minds to say that “I RESOLVE”. Resolve means to settle or find a solution, decide firmly on a course of action, but most importantly, it is a firm determination to do something, a commitment.

We have to determine that we will press on in spite of the circumstances we find ourselves surrounded by. Ichigo stood with confidence as David did when facing the giant Goliath. We must know that God has equipped and trained us with His word and His word is our armor and weapon in the fight. Watching this show I found that the main character had a spiritual power that he knew not the capacity of. He did not know who he was and what he was capable of until he tapped into another world. A spiritual world where there is a continuous battle between what they call soul reapers (protectors) and hollows (demons) over souls. As are we before we come to know Christ and he opens our eyes to who and what we are in Him. It is not until then that we begin to find out the power that God has given to us.

With this still pressing in my spirit this morning, I as usual go to the Lord with a press in my heart to say Lord I resolve. I desire to be determined to stay the course that God has laid out for me, fulfilling His will in my life. I go to the word and I find in it those that resolved to do something. I found encouragement in Ruth who resolved to go with her mother-in-law and serve her God.

Ruth 1:16-18 King James Version (KJV)

16 And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:

17 Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.

18 When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her.

In doing so she found favor with God and he blessed her. I also found encouragement in how to stay determined in Christ regardless of what I face. To know that there is nothing in heaven or on earth that can separate me from Him and His love for me.

Romans 8:35-39 King James Version (KJV)

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

At the end of the day I am not perfect or will have completely perfected this determination that I have in my heart for God but I most certainly do not have to stop going after the things of God. I find this encouragement in his word to continue on in Him:

Philippians 3:12-14 King James Version (KJV)

12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Prayer: Lord I thank you for what you have done in my life. Thank you that you have called, chosen, trained and equipped me to be a servant in Christ. Bless my heart oh God to stay determined and committed to the things and ways of Christ. When I start to feel defeated by the blows and fiery darts of an ever increasing army of the enemy, remind me of those two words that can increase the power within me, to say “I resolve”, and my enemy in battle will be defeated with the power of the Holy Ghost that resides in me. In Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Your Love Unconditional

Your love isI’m reminded of Your love for me when I open my eyes to a brand new day of grace and mercies. Of when I forget to give You thanks at any moment, You still cover me and protect me from dangers I am unaware of. When the enemy is camped about me with a plot to deceive me or cause me hurt, You thwart his every attack. Thank You Jesus that You loved me enough to give Your life to save me. I cannot fathom all that you endured for me. I read it in your word over and over and over, I watch it in movies and I hear about it in sermons. And although the bible would be the closest thing to expressing it, none of these compare to what I understand to be more that I could ever comprehend in this life.

I can feel Your love expressed to me in every turn I make. You have blessed me day after day after day. You have been faithful to me and you have made a way when I could not see a way. You have made me more that my small mind could ever imagine. Thank you a million times oh God! Thank you for the trials and the tribulations you have allowed in my life to grow me up, to strengthen and establish me. Thank you for never giving up on me when I was in the midst of my mess. My life was in shambles and you picked me up, cleaned me up, loved me and made me new.

Even when I knew who you were from a child and rejected you, You loved me. I was sinking deep in sin and you pulled me out and turned me in the right direction. You gave me a reason to live when I wanted death to take me from my pain. How can I not love a God like that….

Prayer: Most gracious Heavenly Father, thank you that you love me unconditionally. Help me to remember your love in the times I turn my eyes away from you and focus on the natural. Forgive me when I forget to thank you in any moment. Draw me closer when I grow weary and start to slip away into the things of the world, that I will draw even closer to you. Fix my heart so that I love others as you have loved me. And continue to tug at me when I become lazy to studying and reading your word, that I may be fed and strengthened. Bind my heart to Yours and Your word that I will stay connected to you. In Jesus name. Amen

His Hedge of Protection

Angels guard manOpen the flood gates of heaven Lord and pour out Your blessings upon me. For You are the Great I AM. Thank you that you have loved me with an everlasting love and I honor you for your name sake. Glory to you in the highest. Praises be unto you as heaven and earth adore you. I love you because you first Loved me.

All glory and honor be to you, Your Majesty.

My mind keeps wandering back to the dream from the night before last. The room full of spiders in all types and sizes that hovered from the light fixture in the middle of the room. The girls were in the room sleeping before I turned the light on. Not only did they inhabit the light fixture but the walls and the beds in the room. My mother stick in the arm by the biggest spider there. I was afraid of them which is the same fear I have in real life. I was unsure if they were there to harm us. They just seemed to crawl around and hang from their webs. Then the riding on the school bus. What does it all mean Lord. I sense that there is danger or harm being planned or plotted for me or could it be my daughters or my mother?

Lord I ask for your divine protection to surround my children, my husband, my mother, father siblings, family and my friends. I plead the blood of Jesus over each one of them and by the power and authority you have given me in this earth to tread over the enemy, I cancel ever expectation of the enemy to cause hurt, harm, and danger to any and all that I am connected to. I bind ever plot, plan, scheme, incantation, evil manipulation, spells, spell casting, snare, demonic possession, and witchcraft that the enemy has set out to kill, steal and/ or destroy my family and friends with. Expose the enemy this day oh Father of peace. Let the traps set against us be turned back onto his head.

I take authority over every foul spirit with the help of the Holy Spirit and I demand that you leave. Leave those that you inhabit, leave the homes, business, place of employment, and surrounding areas of every one I am connected to on this earth. Lord drive them back to the pits where they belong. Lord I bind every tormenting spirit, the spirit of suicide and depression. Touch the heart and mind of the one who has murderous thoughts, thoughts of rape and the spirit of molestation. Deliver oh powerful God of all things created in heaven and earth, the brokenhearted, the heavily afflicted, and the ones at deaths door. Heal the sick among us that cry out in agonizing pain. These things I ask for in the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and my Savior, my Strength and my Redeemer. You said ask and you shall receive.

And when You are done oh God, I ask that You would look upon me and that You would cleanse me Lord. Wash me that I may be made whole. Give me wisdom and understanding and just a closer walk with thee….

MALACHI 3:10b ” Saith the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open to you the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Exodus 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you.

Jeremiah 31:3 The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.

Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

2 Corinthians 10: 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. 7 Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? if any man trust to himself that he is Christ’s, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ’s, even so are we Christ’s. 8 For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed:

John 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

Psalm 19:12 Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.

Psalm 51:2 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

Psalm 49:3 My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.
